Okay, something is seriously wrong with the vBulletin software on this server. I just edited my original post and it has now completely disappeared!
This is a reply to the original post in this thread, honestly!
For a while there was nothing here.
Hi
I'm having a problem when trying to post a reply containing an image.
Posting text only works fine.
I tried with vB codes initially, which resulted in my being taken back to the thread, but with my post not showing (and no error message of any sort as to why.)
Tried it also with the Image button in the reply window, still no go.
Tried again to be told to wait 4 seconds because I had posted within the last 60 seconds.
I waited, then re-submitted to be told that I was duplicating an already existing post.
Checking the thread again(including refresh and CTRL+refresh) shows no such post in the thread.
I'm thoroughly confused, what am I doing wrong?
It would be helpfull if an Error message was generated.
Thanks,
Simo
EDIT: spelin
Update:
It works fine if I upload the image to the CNCzone server.
Why can I not directly link to an image on the net with the following code?(For example):
{img}http://www.blahblah.com/image.jpg{/img}

Great, now I look like a total fruit-loop.
The original post was missing for atleast an hour, only the reply was there.
I dunno what was going on, and I'm beyond caring! LOL
Maybe someone was playing games with me I dunno.
I give up.
For anyone with similar problems, new members posts that contain links or images are sometimes moderated. This is to try to stop the spammers. I believe this is automated, and no one is being singled out.
If anyone makes posts that don't show up, give them a few hours and they should appear.

Thanks ger21, I had considered this.
I searched thru the FAQ and Guidlines but found no mention of this so promptly dismissed it.
Nice to know I'm not going crazy!
Cheers,
Simo
