    Question Cancel a Posting

How do I cancel a posting after I have pressed the Post New Thread button and the Post New Thread section has been opened?

Seems there would be a cancel button but I do not see it.

You would have to ask to have it deleted.

    Question Who do I ask?

Who do I ask? And where should I post that? Or would I simply state that in the Title and body of the posting I want to cancel?

Sorry to reply and I am not flamming, just want to understand how to do it properly, as I could not tell from your reply.

Either PM a moderator or post here with a link to it.

Question You say "PM a moderator"

Sorry I have to ask another question about your response.

You say "PM a moderator" I looked in the FAQ and listed the Forums and did not see a place to PM a Moderator. Please tell me how to do this.

I cannot send a link to the posting I mentioned (the blank posting) because at that time I could not find a way to cancel it, so I just exited the Zone, I'm sorry if this caused a system problem.

Before I exited I cleared all the fields, don't know if it was posted or caused any trouble or not.

I am not flaming, I really enjoy using this forum and respect it's members, and Moderators however This is why I want to find out the proper way to exit a posting that I do not wish to post.

I realize that you are all pressed for time and answer hundreds of questions daily and deal with all sorts of individuals, both sincere and otherwise. Please review my posting over the past three years, I have posted a lot of newbie, dumb questions, however please do not think I am posting anything just for the folly of it. Once I did post the same question in two forums as I did not get a response and did not see in displayed in the "New Posts", and I was chastised for that., I have sense learned from you to look in the “Today's Posts”. And that is working just fine for me.

Sounds like if there was a cancel option it would solve this problem.

Both individuals that replied to this thread can do this for you.

GER21 is a moderator and that other guy (CNCadmin) seems to think he owns the place.......

There's no "button" to PM a moderator, but you can go to Quicklinks > Private messages, then New message (on the left side). Just send it to me. Or anyone that has "moderator" under their user name.

I don't really think a cancel button is necessary. Almost everyone clicking the New Thread button plans on starting a new thread. If you have a problem, just put Please delete in the title or message. There's a pretty good chance I'll see it. and get rid of it. If I don't, it will disappear under hundreds of other posts in a few days.

Thanks for the complete and detailed information. Now I know how to take care of this situation properly.
