so far as a glossary goes, I don't know if there is one here so I nominated you - you could right down down all the words and definitions as you discover them and make the cnczone glossary - here's a start

board: an electronic circuit board
driver: an electronic device that takes signals from the computer (ie steps & directions) and 'drives' or sends the right amount of electricity at the right time to the motor connected to an axis.
cncmill: a machine that mills that is controlled by a computer (yeah, I know real helpfull, but the definition of mill is very broad)
there is no silver bullet because cnc covers so many areas, its a learning curve you've got to work at, the good news is the search function here will bring a wealth of knowledge and its a helpfull crowd so ask away
