Where to post for general manufacturing questions

Hi there,

Been a member of this site for a little while, just started posting.

Question is- where would I post questions regarding manufacturing in general? Such as: Best manufacturing process for a given design? To see if something is even feesible/doable? General questions on the process of submitting RFQs, prints, etc.

I know that most of these may not pertain to machining per se, but I cannot be the only R&D guy tasked with prototyping and sourcing his work as well. That is how I found this site. The members of this site have such a huge and diverse wealth of knowledge- especially considering that a lot of them make the tools folks in another manufacturing process would use.

So basically, I would love to tap into that knowledge in order to better learn my job. I don't want to post in the wrong place and hijack another thread- which I feel like I have already done on one occasion. I would also like to post RFQs for different processes- stamping, die cast, cold rolled profile, etc. but would like to know if it is cool to do so?

I have spent many hours reading the threads here. I have come to respect the folks who frequent this site and admire the skills, knowledge, and candor evident in the posts. Would love to keep learning from y'all but would really like to do so without stepping on toes and butting in in the

I would think there is options in the General Mechanical and Design and also in the Metalworking forums.
