Depends on the controller. Foamworks communicates using the parallel port and it provides step and direction pulses to the control board. If they communicate this way, there is good chance it will run.

I use Guilles Mullers software and like it very well.
It's called GMFC.

Curious about the MM2001 Board. I've actually had one for several years and just never put it together. One issue I have is .. I don't speak french and of course all the info published for the board is in french. Does anyone know a link that has these in English? Also, have others had good sucess with this board? I'm thinking maybe I'll build it and give it a try..

HI Jerry,
i did build a mm2001 as my first cnc/stepper project ever and had 100% success.
There is a file i found that had all the info and schematics reworked into english. I cant remember where it was, but I still have it here if you want it. Send me an email and ill answer any questions i can for you. Erase42@aol.com

You can also do a search on yahoo group for cnc foam cutting. I am in the process of finding all the parts and the pic chip for the mm2001 I first got found out it would not work. You can also read about the software and then make up your mind which one to use and also get help. After you could inform all of us which way you are going on cnczone. The more knowledge to me for learning the better as I want this as my first cnc project.

Hi all, I'm very new to this cnc foam cutting. I have many new chips at my shop to use in this project. (sla7078mr, sla7075mr, or sla7052m) But I don't have a schematic.. The motors I plan to use are Vexta PK245-03A-C13 2phase 1.8*/step 12 volt dc .4 amp. I have 4 motors. I also have many Microchip pic chips. No programmer but lots of chips. I need a little help, please. Maybe if someone had a schematic and needed some chips we could help each other????? E-mail me at James.Malis@AKSteel.com with any advice... Thanks
