dxf to g-code ad-hoc _wire cutting_
there are many topics about soft that can turn dxf to g-code, but all of them are useless for wire cutting. i'm using now dxf2gcode, but i have to correct the output gcode very hard (very!). other soft makes convertion dxf->gcode even worse. so i'd like to ask what soft use people that actually cut foam with wire in 2D. method - 2 drives for each axis, foam block simply lays on a table. operating system does not matter but it would be better linux.
no suggestions from metal/laser and other non-foam cutters please i know how to mill other materials.

Have a look at Dolphin PartMaster.
The Wire EDM will produce what you need, it has 2 and full 4 axis capabilities.

foamworks 4.0 will do what you want. I am currently in beta testers pool - stay tuned for the release date. Looks pretty cool so far

in Foamworks 3.0 - you created in Cadworks - saved a .dat file - then brought that into Foamworks. With the new version of Foamworks 4.0 - direct dxf importing is available. I am doing it now. Works well.
