Using Flashcut CNC Spindle rotate card control to control laser power

I've got a Torchmate table that uses their version of Flashcut cnc. Has anyone used the spindle control card to control something other than a spindle ? I'd like to control my laser power with the 0-10V output from the spindle card. That way I can mix cutting and engraving in one job file.
