I received it as part of my purchase of a system. I have a Sherline 5400 series purchased about 9 months ago. When it was purchased I was promised an upgrade to the system when it came out. I had to pay for the chip upgrade in the driver/interpreter box but that was fine.
I am still in the middle of running routines on version 1 and have been too chicken to perform the upgrade in the middle of making a part.

I built a new computer to run and interface with it ( did not need to though). I like version 1 and have had no problems with it. I expect no problems from version 2 and look forward to using it.

I like the Sherline CNCwith steppers. Small plastic injection, rubber compression moulds and metal stamping dies are what I cut on it. Everything works fine. I use BobCAD 17 and 18 for G-code generation.

I also generate code for an old Bport SeriesI CNC machine and a new Hurco CNC mill. Neither of these machines are controlled by Flashcut.
