    Default Pendent

Anyone use a different pendent then the one sold by Flashcut? I would like a pendent with a dial and keys.

I wish they supported the Contour Shuttle, I use them on all of my Mach3 machines and they work great.

I recently setup a Contour Shuttle Pro 2 on my flashcut controller. I use the wheel(s) for jogging Z, and use the buttons for jogging X,Y. I assigned other buttons for slow/med/fast jog rates, and others for continuous/.100/.01/.001 step increments. It's not a real pendent with mpg for all the axis, but its the best I could come up with. It's 10X better than trying to jog the machine using mouse/keyboard/touch screen.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with my Flashcut control, but its disappointing that the pendant they sell is $400, and it doesn't even have a jog wheel. They are very clever people, they could easily setup a plugin like Mach for the shuttle pendant.

He used the Shuttle Pro plug in.

A lazy man does it twice.

Where is the shuttle pro plug in located? Are you talking about the Mach3 plugin if so how do you install it in Flashcut?

I used the setup software from Contour. I downloaded the Windows 8 version from their website, since the device I purchased from ebay is used and only came with XP drivers.

I assigned keyboard strokes to the buttons / wheels to mimic using the keyboard (see the list below). I wish there was a way to use the wheel in combination with a button to also drive X and Y axis, but couldn't figure a way to do that with their software. This is where a smart programmer could easily write a custom Plug-In, like the Mach people did. Being able to Jog Z with the wheel is where I needed it most, for setting tool lengths and etc.

    • X AXIS + = CTRL + Right Arrow
    • X AXIS - = CTRL + Left Arrow
    • Y AXIS + = CTRL + Up Arrow
    • Y AXIS - = CTRL + Down Arrow
    • Z AXIS + = CTRL + Page Up
    • Z AXIS - = CTRL + Page Down
    • A AXIS + = CTRL + Plus (+) Key
    • A AXIS - = CTRL + Minus (-) Key
    • Fast Jog Speed = T
    • Medium Jog Speed = D
    • Slow Jog Speed = W
    • Contunous = O
    • 0.1 = O ~ Down Arrow
    • 0.01 = O ~ Down Arrow ~ Down Arrow
    • 0.001 = O ~ Down Arrow ~ Down Arrow ~ Down Arrow
    • Step = E

Hope this helps. I would love to see if anyone else can figure out a way to make this better.

I can't get these keys to work, the only thing that happens is the Y axis moves. I was able to toggle a button for the rate - slow, medium, fast but can't figure out the keystroke for the jog distance .1, .01, .001

I played around some more and found a way to get the wheel to work for X,Y and Z. You have to make (3) different target applications and a button to switch between them. All are identical except for what is assigned to the jog wheel. I've attached a link to my Youtube Channel "WD CNC". This is easier than trying to explain it. I can email you the settings files for the shuttle pro if you email me.

    Here is the link:

It's not perfect, but good enough for now.

    Cool beans.

Just a note. I could not get the jog distance to work using the down arrow. You need to have checked the "Keyboard Jog Requires Control Key" under the Jogging Settings menu.
