It comes fully assembled and ready to mount your motors, cabling, sensors, etc., basically everything except the spindle or router mount. Did you check with Nate at FLA?

Hi all, I am contemplating purchasing the Fine line 2x4 Kit, but I haven't seen any parts list anywhere. Does anyone know if the 8020 extrusions are cut and prepped, or just raw? I'm asking because I saw that 8020 is having a sale this weekend. If they aren't prepped, it looks like I can save some money buying the extrusions while on sale and piecing the rest of the components together. Though, if they are prepped, then it would make more sense to just get them through Fine line.
Thanks!

He didn't say Saturn. Are you sure you are talking about the same machine??

Yeah, I was talking about the 8020 machine. The Saturn is an awesome machine, but out of my price range. I finally talked myself up to the 8020 kit. Before I was stuck on getting an openbuilds vslot machine, but looking at the price to get up and running for each, it just makes more sense to get a far stronger machine for a bit of a premium.
I have tried emailing him, but haven't heard back yet. I was hoping to find out before the sale ends on Monday.
The extrusions are fully ready. They are tapped, drilled, mulled, and slotted according to the plans.
When you assemble the kit, you only need hand tools like sockets and hex keys and won’t have to drill or cut anything.

Oh, great information. Thank you! One other question, does the kit come with assembly instructions?
See for video for assembly.
See https://www.finelineautomation.com/p...x-4-cnc-router for assembly pdf’s. Go to the downloads tab on the page.

Ah, yes, well you know what they say about assumptions, Gerry! LOL! My mistake.
