can you Lolly pop mill with featurecam ?

I was wondering if anyone has used featurecam with a lollypop or undercutting mill? If you describe the end mill with a curve, will featurecam be able to undercut a 3D surface?

yes you can. you need a guide surface for the tool to follow. Should construct the surface in Featurecam. Import surfaces didn't seem to work too well for me... I think the guide surface also has to be one singe patch.

I believe there is short write up on this with the intro book that cam with your software under flowline machining???

It's been a while since I did it. but it can be done.

Thanks for the information, I used Featurecam at my last job that I got laid off from. The people at my current job are looking to quote some work and would need to do this, but they're current software is not that sophisticated.
