| Hey All, I know this sounds very stupid of me, but I have been a Master CAM user for years and now I have to convert. Is there an easy way to change the basic setup properties of Feature Cam Mill? Every time the programmer posts out a milling part I spent too much time cutting it up. Although I have had wonderful success with the turning portion. Every time I start to work with it (Milling) I get so frustrated!! For example: A simple text engrave, I cant choose a line and a tool and just simply do the text!! Noooooo. That would be WAY TO EASY!! Even the programmer who has years of 5-axis aerospace experience is dropping the "F" Bomb. Thanks for the help or at least a place to vent!! |

| Under manufacturing there is machining configuration, it lets you set the machining attributes, and give it a name so you can use the same config. every time you select it. Also when you open a new file you can make a custom setup give it a name and use it whenever you want. The post processor can be edited to your machine and the way you use it. Once this done you should be able to load the code and cut every time you post. The text window will create text curves any where, any size and any font. You have to make a machining feature out of the curves. I used FC for 12 years. Now I’m at a new shop and pulling my hair out trying to figure how to get MasterCam to do what I want. ;-) Gary |
