    do you part line program and if so why?

    So that I can use my machines Dcomp and insert whatever cutter i would like to

    Centerline Because the tool path generated is more efficiently. You get alarms as they should be when running the machine. The less the guy on the floor has to input the less likley there will be an error.

    6 to one half a dozen to the other.

    We centerline and insert 0 for the tool dia value in the controller. Keeps it very simple and very easy to comp for.

    Partline is fine we just don't use it. The code can be more difficult to read and make small edits at the controller if needed. Especially if using re-ground endmills.
