I want to ream a 1/2" hole for a force fit bearing in 1/4" aluminum stock. Given the tools I have, I have to do a pocket using my 1/4" roughing endmill, and then ream. The pocket I created is .450 in diameter, at a depth of .27 (in FCAM). For some reason FCAM is calling up for a secondary rough cut with this pocket + the finish cut. I just want a regular rough and then finish.. no double rough cut. I am unable to change the machining attributes, or milling strategy to remove this secondary rough cut... Whats the deal with this? I get an error in my operations list telling me that this secondary rough cut is unecessary.. why does it keep coming up? This seems a bit ridiculous.. |
