have you tried setting a plunge point or "check surfaces" to not cut?
Somtimes in a multirough 3d part featurecam wants to plunge the tool into a place where it should not. We have the tool set as a non-centering tool and ramp to depth is on, witha ramp angle of 2 degrees. The program will still plunge into an area where should not go. Was there a minimun ramp distance attribute in earlier versions?

We contacted delcam and their solution was the rapid stepover attribute in the milling, I don't understand why that effects it, but it does. With the rapid stepover unset, the tool will plunge into places where it should ramp, or not go at all. I set the rapid stepover to .001 and the tool ramps when it should. I also found that using old code option works, without changing rapid stepover, found that out on my own. It's just funny how it worked in the older version code and know you have to watch the rapid stepover. This had nothing to do with check surfaces.
