Need Help!- .SLDPRT won't import???

I have a SolidWorks file that i have been trying to import into FeatureCam. Is there any conversion software i can use because at the moment ive found this cannot be done. I'm running FeatureCam 2007. I'm guessing the SoliWorks file is recent software? Maybe 2010?

Every new version is intentionally not backward compatible, unlike ACAD.
You either open with a later version, or use something else.
THIS SALES BASED UPGRADE STUFF SUCKS. You can't even save for an earlier version like good honest software does.
It breaks things, because they can.

Save the solidworks file as a parasolid file *x_t. then import into Featurecam. I do this sometimes do dumb down solidworks files that are incompatible with featurecam.

Export as ACIS (.sat) file for import into ACAD.
You must select ACIS no later that ACIS version 6. Not the default.
The default is up around version 17 or so and is mostly useless.
This exports/imports 3D solids correctly, both ways.
