Manual Guide i problems

Hello Guys

This is the first few days of playing around with this Fanuc 18i-TB control with EZ Guide i installed on it (same as Manual Guide i). I have created my first program an all seems good until it is simulated, the program runs until it reads the first sub program an gets to the G1456 at the end of sub then alarms out with a 078.

Could any of you fine gentle men help me with this problem??

Thanks Mike Roy in Canada

G1456 = Turning figure block END

Manual guide i

Don't know the reason though

post your program some one will be able to try it

I expect there are other parameters not set.

i simulation

Is your sub pgm a free-form figure? If there is an error within the figure, the pgm will always alarm out at the last line/end of group, making the problem hard to pin-point.

Also beware of any macros that may cause the simulation to 'hang'

Try a dry-run and see if machine stops at same point.

A couple of reasons is you are in background edit mode. Which I have never had a problem with so I doubt that. The other is it is searching for an address and not finding it. What does the program do when reading G1456? Better yet as Mystic has suggested post your code so we can look at it and try to spot what is wrong.

This may seem like a simple question but I'm going to ask anyway. Did you make sure that there is a sub-program?

I like your thinking ben.

If the subprogram number specified with P is not found, P/S alarm No.
078 occurs.

Although i believe the EZ has a DATAU file, so that makes it a lottery.

The main program seems to run till it gets to M98 P11 (OD PROFILE) then it will read the entire subprogram until it gets to the end of the sub (0011) an gets to the second last line with the G1456; (last line is M99; ) this is where the cursor stops an sets out the alarm 078.
When I got this machine 2 months ago it had the EZ Guide turned off,(keep rely K10.5) was turned off making EZ guide not functional. There were afew other parameters that needed to be set as well. Maybe I did not get all the parameters set rite??
Any help would be great.

Like the perspective on the last shot.

Thought about photography for a living?

Can't you put your figure into the main pgm instead?

I have just created this program (with no sub-programs) and get the same results, when the machine reads the program in simulation mode it alarms out at the line # 24 G1456; Alarm is still 078????
I have deleted line #24 G1456; an the program will cycle, however this can't be the rite way of programming.

Do any of you guys see any problems with this code???

Thanks for looking
