| Hi It's a factory option only for the robodrill. You get other companies that also make direct drive 4th axis, but they are a bit more than the gear driven ones and you require some options on the control for them. |

| If you're buying a new Robodrill and need 4th axis capability, I don't think you could make a better choice than the DDR rotary. As jrobson mentions though, only available factory equipped to my knowledge. A friend of mine in San Ontonio is making custom high end camera parts on his Robodrill that he got with the DDR - it kicks ass! He has done some custom intake manifolds too that were cutting extremely fast - the index time of the DDR is the quickest I've seen yet - and it still has real good feed torque. |
