Exclamation Gildemeister MD5S

I have a Gildemeister MD5S that had a Fanuc 21iT upgrade several years ago. It shows a little over 1000hrs of use on the new system. We purchased the machine and it will not work. It turns on and builds hydraulic pressure, but when you initialize the system to move the X-axis drops down about 1/4" and the Fanuc calls out a "401 X-axis error excessive" and stops. If I hit the reset button I can get the head to move in the z-axis for a second before the drive codes out again. The machine is a slant bed type of lathe. I know the machine sat for 1-2 years before we bought it. It may have lost it's parameters. Is there a parameter that calls out the difference between a flat bed and a slant bed that would cause it to hold up the x-axis when energized? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also interested in a repair tech around the central coast of California. Thanks.

401 V-READY OFF - means servos are not active

410 - nth Axis Excess Error because the x-axis brake is off the axis is dropping and causing an position deviation error

the x-axis brake is off because you activated the machine but your servos are not active so your x-axis drops

something on the e-stop line is stopping your ready signal enabling the drives

If this machine has a dual channel e-stop possibly one of the channels is faulty

or there is a problem with the 24 V

Thanks for the advice, I will look into that and post what I find when I work on it.
