| Good information. Thanks. I am wondering why two methods for offset implementation has been given. With the default settings (i.e., 0), geom is done by moving the coordinate system, and wear by moving the tool. Initially, when I was new to these things, I found this very confusing. I still do not see any logic in why offset may be desired to be implemented by moving the tool. Any idea? |

| Obviously. But, was there any need for a choice? From users' point of view, both methods are equivalent; these work equally well, and are used in the same manner in a program/offset setting procedure. What the machine is doing internally is not important, at least in this case. Too many choices are not desirable, as these may actually confuse the user, and, of course, keep this forum busy. |
