Hi Guys I have the 10T Fanuc control with limited memory.. When I try and load my programs I get buffer full error. So I break down the size of the programs and they go in. So I end up with smaller programs in memory.. What I was wondering is "How can you create one program of say 3 three programs in memory " How big is 80 meters of storage.. The small programs that im loading in are 2Kmax. Chips I have a manual coming but not for 2 more months from Fanuc!!! |

| Inserting a program into another program An existing program (say, program number 2345) can be inserted at an arbitrary position in the current program (say, program number 1234): • Select the EDIT mode on the MOP panel. • Press the PROG key on the MDI panel. • Type O1234 (or simply 1234) and press the O SRH soft key. • Press the soft key OPRT. If OPRT does not appear, press the return menu soft key (<). • Press the next menu soft key (>). • Press the soft key EX-EDT, followed by MERGE. • Move the cursor to the word, before which program number 2345 is to be inserted, and press the soft key ~’CRSL or ~BTTM’ (in the latter case, the insertion is done at the end of the current program, regardless of the position of the cursor). • Type 2345 and press INPUT on the MDI panel. • Press the soft key EXEC. After this operation, program number 2345 is inserted at the desired location in program number 1234, creating a modified program number 1234. Program number 2345 remains unaffected. |

| Chips…I ass u me that Guhl got ya some more memory however that is not the problem with the buffer overflow. The 10,11,12 series control are famous for this alarm because most CNC’s will take 16 characters into buffer but this model can only take 10. I never run over 4800 baudrate on these series controls. You also have to change your FIFO buffers on the PC. This has been discussed many times and this is one of the threads that cover it. http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showth...highlight=FIFO Stevo |
