i have a miyano fanuc 10t controller im trying to tap 1/2 -14 npt using a g32 tapping cycle when it starts tapping the chuck just about comes to a stop.turning 400 rpms .071 per rev depth 1.06 can someone help me with why the chuck wont stay at 400 all the way through. thanks. |

| Also, what HP does your machine have behind the spindle? I haven't run the numbers but I would say you will need atleast a 10HP spindle motor. Some smaller lathes don't have enough juice to do that size of NPT tap - especially after many years of use and increasing frictional power losses. |
