Here is a new thread on my FANUC 0M-C build which will be primarily built from eBay parts purchases.
For a little background information, the control is going to be built inside a floor standing control cabinet I bought from AutomationDirect.com and will be connected to yet another of my custom built 4 axis milling machine.
I don't remember if I shared information about the several custom machines that I have had built, but Milwaukee Machine Tool built my spindle, a CAT40 taper.. and Circle Boring machined the head casting. Milwaukee Machine tool also built the majoritly of the rest of the machine, per my specifications.
The links to their sites are
http://www.circleboring.com and
http://www.milwaukeemachinetool.com and I would happily reccommend any one who wants a great machine built to your specs.. look into these two great companies. I supplied a lot of the hardware and other parts and supplies and they mainly took care of the main castings, housings, bed/table etc. While it might cost you a fair penny they both do beautiful work.
Last night, I just received a FANUC 9" 0M-C CRT/MDI with the full keyboard. It was built in May 1997. From the documentation on memex.ca on identifying the 0 controls, that would make it a "C" type System 0. It is a A02B-0098-C055/MBR CRT/MDI panel and has Keyboard N860-3127-T030. The CRT is a A61L-0001-0093 type MTD947B-2B. The keysheet in front of the keyboard is a A98L-0001-0568#MR.
There is a cable attached to the back of the keyboard board with a HONDA MR-20L that is labeled KM1. I have not read the maintenance and conection manuals in great depth, but I would like to know where this cable goes to. From what I do understand is that it likely goes to one of the memory boards or one of the graphics boards.
I need to locate a replacement keysheet as the one on the CRT/MDI unit is very badly worn and actually broken & missing over some of the keys/buttons.
There is also a 2nd cable on a HONDA MR-20LW connector hood marked A660-2003-T130 /L7R003 A02B-0074-K805. I also do not know where this cable goes.
A while back I did purchase a I/O card "I/O-C5/C7".. and I do not know the function of this card. I mainly went off of the "Printed Circuit Board Unit List" found in the Series 0/00/0-Mate Maintenance manual #GFZ-61395E/06 dated October 1997 and located in the section 2.5. when I search eBay for boards.
