Fanuc A16B-1200-0270 Buffer board..?

Does anyone know what this board is..?

A16B-1200-0270

I bought a machine with Fanuc 6MB11 a couple of years ago and this board was attached inside the cabinet door but not connected in any way..
I'm told it is a buffer board for drip feeding..?

If it is I would like to connect it!

Thanks

I have the description manual for that board (B-90699E/03) and have the board too, but have no actual experience using that. It can be used on the 5,6,7,9,11,12,200A/B,3000C and 2000C controls.

REMOTE BUFFER FOR OLD NC

You do need to setup parameters to run your DNC. This board has jumpers which need to be set
correctly.

Remote Buffer:
INPUT DEVICE 1 = 1
INPUT DEVICE 2 = 0

FOR REMOTE BUFFER, you need to set communication parameters by using jumpers on the REMOTE BUFFER PCB.
You need the manual : B-90699E/03 which has details about jumpers.

Thanks Guys I'll try and get the manual as there are no cables with mine so I will have to make some.
I presume then that this is a Fanuc version of a BTR and replaces the tape reader..?

Hi have managed to get The Fanuc remote buffer descriptions manual B-90699E/03 . It doesn't detail how to connect the board to the Fanuc 6 motherboard. It looks like I run the tape reader ribbon cable that already goes into the motherboard from the remote buffer then connect the tape reader to the remote buffer? Just need to make sure on this before I try anything!
John.

A16B-1200-0270

John,
Did you ever get the A16B-1200-0270 remote buffer working? I'm looking to put one on my Fanuc 6M ?

I see you sourced the manual for it - was it in electronic format - if so can I be cheeky and ask for a copy to andrew@mawson.org.uk

I've tried pming you but your inbox is full!

Many thanks

Andrew
