fanuc stabadard post with mcamX4...ready to pay | | hi...
i have custom built a router/mill 5 axis (table/head rotary) BC axis.
i attached a pic of the router/mill. (rotary table on the base as C axis / rotary head attached to z and y and x as Baxis)
i use Mach 3 as controller software
i use mastercamx4... i used the "Standard Fanuc 5 axis post" with a head/table machine definiton ..i amended the machine definitions to apply to my case (head/table) as BC...i have also acessed the standard fanuc.pst file and have amended some data ...i have also added the toolength var in there that is supposed the be the B OFFSET between the axis center and the tool tip.
but i need to add to it the tool length as i change tool and it should normally add to that offset..i cant do it
and after i cheated on the machine and put a bigger offset to include to tool length too...i tested on a pyramid shape ...offset seemed ok..but the tool gauged on the material when it was doing to move on the turns.
i would like your help to modify the post to operate it properly.
1) to include both B offset and tool length for every tool change
2) to avoid gauging during the operation
can somebody guide me through the setup process???
thanks for your help
Elie
