FANUC 11M

I'm building a eBay 11M control following the manuals parts listings.

I just received a FANUC Ad. Axix (P,P) A16B-1210-0430/05B.

The documentation (GE FANUC online & the yellow manuals) says this board connects two Pulse Coders for the Analog sytem.

The lower edge of the card has connectors labeled CV4 & CV6 on the backplane side, and CF4 & CF5 on the outboard side attached to those connectors are HONDA connectors type MR-201

On the board there is a set of 6 jumper switches about mid-board on the outboard side both labeled TAC, REV and SUP.

There are pins on the outboard side labeled GND, +5V, TSA4, TSA5, VCMD4, VCMD5, VREF5, VREFC and VREF D.

I need to know which backplane slot it this board goes into (the connector labeled CHA on the board) I also need to know what connections to make on this board. And to know the correct jumper settings.

I have not found any specific documentation on the Ad Axis boards for the 11M or 11T or any of the Sytem 11 Ad Axis boards.

I would love to have more infortmation on this board and how to set it up. Does this board connect to the servo motor pulse coders, if so which specific ones?

Thanks in advance,
Greg Bowne

Thanks I appreciate that a lot.

There's so many 11 boards to choose from.

I've been going loosely by this parts listing

http://application.gefanuc.com/servi...ts/11a0001.htm

but started keeping track of them on excel even with the different / numbers.

Thats what I had to do for the 0M-C and 0T-C I put together the same way.. The 0M CRT-MDI I spent $275 on.. the mainboard was another $200. Only defect on the 0M CRT/MDI was a worn keysheet. Still need to figure out how to replace it. I still am looking for the 0M-C operator control panel.
Like the one below the CRT/MDI unit in the link below. Part number I need for that panel is A02B-0091-C141 or A02B-0098-C141.

I'm waiting to hear back from several ebay sellers that regularly sell FANUC items about their inventory of the lists I sent them.

I found this page with a company that has this as a 11T/11M Test setup and included actual part numbers.

According to the list that I have for this Add axis board ,the masterboard it is for is
A16B-1010-0050. This system uses Pulse coder only system, not pulse coder+tachogenerator, or resolver+tachogen feed back system.
It goes to conn. slot CAH on masterbd.

CV4 and CV5 are command from cnc to servo drive unit.
CF4 and CF5 are feedback are feedback from the encoders to cnc.
This board only applies to A cnc with more than 3 axes.
The jumpers are for selection of pulses per rev etc.

Thanks for the information.

Speaking of the servo drive.. I'm told that there are several I can use.. but the eBay searches for FANUC System 11 parts (11M & 11T) come up with say that the amplifiers are A06B-6059-H206 and A06B-6058-H004 and A06B-6058-H023.. But I was thinking I might have to have a digital masterboard such as A16B-1010-0200/08C for those. Those aparently are S series amplifiers for AC spindle servo and AC servos.

The other informaton I saw was that I need the A06B-6047 or A06B-6050 Velocity Control Unit (VCU).

What are the jumper settings?

Where is connector CAH on the A16B-1010-0050?

The board would be good because my machine is a 4 axis mill.

Is there a cable part number for the 4 cables? or a cable specification so I could put some cables together? They look like rather large cables with lots of wires.

Greg

I'm also in the process of building a FANUC 0M-C.

Look for a new thread about my 0M-C build.

Thanks,
Greg Bowne
