I have a Sharp SV2412 with the Fanuc 0i Mate-MB control. I know where the backup battery is on the control unit (A98L-0031-0012). Are there any other batteries I should change? I'm new to Fanuc and don't want to lose any data or parameters. Thanks, RBC Metalwork Honolulu, Hawaii  |

| I still can't find the 6v battery. Here are pictures of the drive section if that helps. I can look into the drive from vents on the bottom but I don't see any battery. |

| Trace the CXA2A cable this will lead you to the optional external battery pack or CX5X to the Fanuc ABS Battery The Beta i drives generaly have a battery cover attached to the two holes you can see in your photo so it probably has the external grey box on the outside of the machine with FANUC written on it.

| Nothing is connected to CX5X except for a small brown plastic part. It's only function is to keep the two pins from shorting to each other. I don't have a CXA2A. I do have a CXA2C though. CXA2C has blue wires running into the cable trays.

| Is your machine an absolute encoder type or incremental type post the values in parameter 1815 your machine might not have the 6V lithium ABS battery backup only the 3V Lithium Parameter/Memory backup

| Parameter 1815 shows all zeros. Yes, I must home X, Y and Z at every power-up.
