18T parameter question

trying to set x axis backlash parameter but machine says locked out key is ok can't remember what to push to modify parameter

MDI, offset/setting, PWE set to 1.

Is that lock/unlock funtion meaning (1) to unlock, (0) to lock again. I know you have to shut machine off to read change but want to lock it back out after making change.

PWE = Parameter Write Enable

1 = Enable
0 = Disable

No need to cycle the power on a 18.

really, ok thought it was like the registry of windows it would read the backlash on bootup

Late model Fanucs like 18i, 21i, will alert you as to what parameter changes require power shut down and reboot. In fact, these parameter addresses will not allow you to do anything else until you power off and reboot.
