| Make sure to check the cables with the table at different places in the travel. I have 4 different year Robodrills (this includes a pre-Robo model Tape Drill) and each has had the cable develop a break due to the repeated flexing into a tight radius under the table. I think the cable they used wasn't the high-flex specific type, probably just normal signal cable. After the 2nd machine appeared with the symptoms of the encoder signal disconnect, I bought a 150' roll of the high flex - high dollar cable and just replaced it on the 3rd and 4th machine the minute the problems started to appear. Saved me alot of headache and time I wasted on the other 2 troubleshooting and thinking I had the problem, then it reappeared - back and forth, back and forth. |
