| As MM has stated it can be the power supply, memory, or master board. Start with the easier stuff. Check the power supply first or replace if you have a spare. Can you get the control to power up holding the “-“minus and “.”decimal. This should take you to the IPL mode were you can continue to clear the memory and reload. DO NOT DO THIS if you don’t have an entire backup of the machine. If you can get this to power up to the IPL mode then we can take it from there and I can give you the procedure. I am going to ass u me that there is a good chance that it is your powersupply as this is exactly the same problem I had on my old 10T. Have you been having monitor problems recently were it takes a while for the screen to come on? Stevo |

how can I check the power supply? I do not have a spare I do not see any thing burnt on the power supply or mother board. it has been taking a few seconds for the screen to come on you would have to hold the power button on for about five seconds to get the screen to come on. |

yesterday we started the machine up and put it in the home position started the spindal to worm up and when we went to turn the spindal off the computer was froze up you could not turn the spindal off so I turned the power of to the crt and when I turned back on it only had half a screen and it looked like some other language so turnd off again turned back on and the screen would not come on and the code 8 was on the mother board. |

| I advise if you do not know how to check for these things to contact your local Fanuc service centre. Explain all that you have mentioned here and get a technician to visit this machine. They will probably need to know part numbers of the major components in your machine also the data sheets. GE Fanuc 1-800-433-2682
