A860-0360-V501 it takes cable A860-0360-T201 I have acquired one of these motors to run a 4th axis. the brake releases , the motor seems to test ok, but the encoder is definitely wired differently than my other motors. and is wired differently than the pinouts I have found in the posts. If any one has the pinout, or can tell me how I might determine the wiring format for the encoder, I could sure use some help. thanks |

| That is a 2000p/rev incremental encoder. Is the insert # in the MS connector a 22-14 or 20-29? Al.

| This should show the connections you have for the 20-29. Al.

| Al, unfortunately the chart doesn't add up with my pin out (observed) here is what I have with lead color nd connection to the inside wiring leads. A gray P 8 B - C - D black P 10 E - F violet P 7 G pink P 9 H - J orange & pink P 14 K red & pink P 13 L blue P 6 M - N orange P 3 P - R brown & green P 12 S green P 5 T yellow P 4 pins 1 and 2 loop back inside the motor to a pair of white motors which I assume are to a heat sensor. the motor is an A6/3000 A06B-0128-B175#7000 Thanks for your effort thus far |

| I found info on the motor number, and they show absolute encoders for this model. It is probably an Alpha series? Al.

| yes it is an alpha series, I guess I should have typed it out. I suppose this means I have to get a new encoder. I was planning on running it with a Granite Devices VSD XE so I wont have to have commutation from the encoder. |

| You could look for another Fanuc encoder, I can't remember whether the encoder taper mount is the same as the differential. I have converted some Fanuc's using a circular aluminum plate mounted using the 3 existing mounting holes, to attach the encoder to. Then screwed a 8mm machined shaft extension using the existing 5mm centre hole. Misumi USA sell these machined rods in different sizes. I have used the NOS through-hole encoders that Renco have listed on ebay. Al.

"Centre method" requires that the specified centre must lie on the perpendicular bisector of the line joining the start point to the end point. If not, the "error" is taken care by a linear motion along one of the axes, at the end of circular motion, to reach the specified end point, provided the error is smaller than a value specified in a paramater. |
