Hello – first time at CNCzone. Regarding TAKANG VMC 1991 with Fanuc 0M. The machine has been working without problems utile now. The spindle won’t start at all. It just stopped working after a tool shift. Nor program or MDI input helps. No alarms. Every thing else works fine. Has anyone, any - not so expensive ;-) idea, what to look for ? Best regards –and thanks. Anders DK |

| If you have a later model 0 you can enable the ladder and use it to diagnose to some extent what the problem maybe. The M,S and T commands are processed by the PMC ladder and is written by the MTB. You may be able to trace it through the M3/M4, M5 command ladder rungs. If you also have a hard copy of the ladder it helps. For example, if the M3 output highlights when activated, then it means it is between the controller and the spindle drive. If not, it is in the ladder logic. Al.

Thanks for your fast reply. Actually the spindle is running again. I have located the problem to some pneumatic tool change problem. Maybe a sensor did not register the tool change correctly. I have also found a pneumatic solenoid valve with a leak. So I think I will be up and running in short time :-) Best regards Anders |

| Thats good, but I would check if the ladder can be visible on your model for future problems as you most likely could have tracked it this way, what model 0 is it, as earlier ones could not display ladder. Al.

| It should be visible on the 0C, do you need the bit to turn it on? I just checked, it is bit #2 in parameter 0060. Al.
