Need Help!- how to send program to the machine 6 t

hi ,fanuc experts can you help me with an old fanuc i think is 6t but i am not sure i figured out how to punch programs into a computer but cannot send them to the machine when i fallow the logic secuence i get a screen wit the % on the top left corner of the screen and on the left bottom edit,stop, and in the center bottom flashing READ but just remains like that forever, i figured it should have a difernt secuense then punching programs out, when i press read soft key it gives me options that appear at the bottom of the screen they are ADD, NEW, and then after eather one, more sotf key options i think they are PROGRAM(#), FILE (#) after this,it lets me write but ,thats it but it just keep giving the screen first described (READ flashing).When i punch i use 4800 in the mastercam v9.1 can some one tellme if this is computer software problem or is a especific way to do it ,thank yoy all for your anwers.

make sure that the SETTING parameter for INPUT DEVICE 1 and 2 are set to '1'.
On the PROGRAM screen enter O-9999 then push INPUT.
Call me if that does not work.
