old WVCL FEMCO/FANUC LATHE | | hello, everybody I came to bother you with this question they bought this old femco lathe with fanuc control i dont what kind it is but it has G54-G55-G56 data onthe workshift page, my problem is this: I was running parts and all of the sudden parts roughed out with about .100 too far in Z I looked for the problem in the program but couldnt find anithing, so assumed the operator was not locating the part , but after a few more parts another scrapped so i touched off my tools again end everything seem to be normal but the third part scrapped again i ended up checking every part before the roughing tool reseting and running again until the roughing seemed to bee in the true z position, which i could never tell when, but at least i was able to run good parts, can some help to understand what happen here, the way you input data when touching off tools in this control is : Z 0, meassure (soft key ) under the screen, some one told me after touching tools i have to go to Z0 with one of the tools (preferible finish OD) and substract W from the geometry offset of the tool or something like that than to input the data in
G54 ,but the program had no G54 at all and I dont remember having this type of problem. can someone give me the right program format to work with this type of control I have worked with the fanuc t18 lathe an the workshift page dosent have G54 only work shift and absolute coordinates and the programs worked well with out g54 only touching off the tools thats it. Thank you for your time and paciense any help is greatly appreciated |
