DGN BINARY TO DECIMAL HELP

Friends,

We have one VMC with FANUC OM Controller.

The timer value in DGN 350 in Binary is 00101000.

Pl help me as how to convert it in to Decimal.

Is the Binary value in only the DGN350 has to be converted into Decimal for tha actual timer value
or
the DGN351,DGN352,DGN353,DGN354 also to be taken in to account.

Does the various timers like DGN300,DGN310,DGN315 have any definite max values.

If we change the parameter19 bit 7 to 1 the values in the DGN screen for the timer/counter will change from binary to decimal.

But of little curiosity I am seeking your help.

Thanks,

chandru

Chandru,

Reading from right to left you have the ones column, 2s 4s 8s 16s 32s 64s, etc. (2^0, 2^1, 2^2, 2^3, 2^4, etc.) Since you have one in the 8s column and 1 in the 32s column, your decimal value is (8+32) 40.

Timer occupies 2 bytes for preset data, so if your ladder use timer 350, timer preset should be at DGN 350 and 351. Try this: preset time x 20 and convert it to binary and set to 350 and 351. If dgn 350= 0010 1000 so it should be: 40/20=2 second.
