How does high speed machining feature helps in machining. I understand, it concerns with machining at high feedrates and low depth of cut, which overall results in higher MRR. Cann't we do this in normal machining mode? |

| You "can" but it's also (simply stated) a matter of accuracy and accel/decel control. In a standard G64 mode, it has limitations of this at higher speeds (coupled with a lesser value of Look-Ahead). Many machines won't even allow you to hit the extremely high speeds unless the mode is active.
