ALARM: SR821 - CD Off (1)

I've searched the various threads and it appears that the 6-8-20 jumper on the FANUC side is the key to this error, but we're getting it very sporadically. Checked the cable and everything seems good. Could there be something internal at the control that might cause this? This is on a 15MEA-B-4.

DCD usually refers to pin 8.
If you have 6-8-20 jumpered it usually takes care of it.
Make sure not connections are made between controller and PC on these lines, also do you have 4-5 jumpered?
It is possible the port can be defective on the CD input.

Check your parameter manual (if you can find it). Mine is for the 15MEL-B-4, but it may be the same for yours.

Parameter 5000 bit 4 = 1 doesn't check the CD signal. Might just fix your problem.
