Fanuc 4M E44 hdlc response time-out error

Hello!
We're having a problem with a Amada Vela Turret Punch Press, this morning after blowing compressed air on the inside of the control cabinet of the machine's FANUC 4M control, the operator couldn't make it work, it was fine before that.

We are getting a message: "E44 HDLC response time-out error"

We think it must be a loose component but we couldn't find it.
Any clues?

Thanks in advance guys!
(I was hoping Al_The_Man could see this post).

I don't believe that Fanuc ever made a 4M control. The number 4 is very unlucky in Japan, so they made a system 0, a system 3, a system 5, a system 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16i, 18i, and 21i. Never a 4 or 13 or 17 as far as I can tell.

Please post photos of the operator's panel and internal boards if you can.

The cnc is a 04PC, this an amada thing. i hate it when builders get this cock-a mamie stooopid fooolish idea. Call the darned thing by its proper name. Itis a 0PC control. best I can tell this is an amada side alarm. There is a amada software and sequencer on this machine tool.

Hello Guys. Thank you both for your posts.
Dan, I haven't been able to get the pictures and it seems jdeere4250 is right the model on the name plate is 04PC. The maintenance guys found a loose cable near the screen, they pluged it back in some LEDs turn on but the display goes off. They also mentined that the batteries and their holder is very clean as if someone had removed they recently so I was thinking the problem might be a firmware thing.

What do you think?

Ok Boys, the best I can do is this, I have notes from my distant past on 04pc. This Amada CNC has this PHNC thingy which is the amada side. It does have Firmware or Amada software. As far as I can remember it resides on a fanuc pcb known as fanuc mmc which is an interface between the machine tool and the control. The notes I have is partly in japanese and also eng seems to indicate a misscomunication error between the 04pc and the PHNC part of the machine . I will see if I can get some help from my Amada friends and or Jap friends.

Is the interface MMC or MMI?

I always thought it was Man Machine Interface(MMI).

Thanks,
Brent

Hi Guys!
I've been out, so I couldn't post.

I suggested the owner to call Amada Service, let's see what comes out of this.

Thank you all.
If you have any more input I will be greatly appreciated.
