I am a first week rookie to the world of CNC operation and I am trying to run a demonstration on a Northwood NW-105MC1D1HR1 with a Fanuc 18i-m. The problem is I cannot figure out how to get passed the alarm messages on the opening screen. 1000-Axis not homed 1004-Slide Fault (check message screen) 1006-Check Message screen 1010-Euro #1 Slide Fault I cannot find anything about these errors in my manual or in the controller, but I have gathered that they are "external errors". As I said, I am brand new to this stuff. I have run a Fanuc controlled machine before, but I have never had a problem like this. It would be awesome if someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks everyone! |

| I am not quite sure what the Slide faults(lube levels maybe) are but it appears that you have to home the machine in all axis. You have to move the machine off of the home position a few inches then put the machine in Home or Reference mode then move the machine back towards home. The axis should decel then proceed to it’s home position. This may also clear the other alarms once complete. Stevo |
