    Cool New to the zone

    Hi all.
My name is mick from east Sussex, in the u.k. Got a big problem with a Mori Seiki SL2-H with a Fanuc 10TE-F control. I have a error light on panel, so i cant reset e stop. Think error is spindle alarm, judging by ladder diag. does anyone know how i can move turret away from spindle, when i cant get e stop off. have tried override button on side of panel, but nothing seems to work. Be very grateful if any one knows away of clearing error so i can move machine to get to fault. Once again hi to all, and i look forward to the experience on cnczone, and hopefully learning at the same time.

    Mookh1.

Can you get to the ball screws to turn them by hand to move the turret?

I don't know the Fanuc 10, but no other error messages or alarm codes on the screen/log? What about on the spindle/axis drive units themselves?

Finding the cause of the error and addressing it directly is usually best. If the error is indeed due to the machine position, there should be an overide to allow moving it out of the trouble zone.
