How to questions here. Change parameters? do you have to unlock like for 15M up? This stupid thing reads Machine dimensions in metric, how to change it to fractional (inches)? Thanks Last edited by Bill Johns; 05-28-2009 at 12:56 PM. |

| The system 6 parameters can be keyed in manually, or they can be loaded in through the RS232 port or loaded from a paper tape. To enter parameters manually, find the toggle switch labeled "Parameter Write/Enable" on the main PCB and turn in on. You will get an alarm #100 on the CRT. Next, press the PARAM button, select MDI mode, and move the cursor to the parameter you want to enter. Enter the letter "P", then the parameter data, then press INPUT. When finished, turn off the Parameter write/enable switch, then press RESET to clear the alarm. Note that changing certain parameters will also require you to turn off the control and turn it back on before they will take effect. Most of them take effect immediately The "Machine" position is always in the same increment system as the ballscrews. Machines with metric ballscrews will always be in metric. The "Absolute", "Relative", and "Distance to go" displays change from inch to metric when you use G20 and G21 to change the mode that the control is programmed in. |
