Fanuc robot system

Got another question for you guys. Well really the same one. About the Servos I have am I going to be able to use them for this application? I am not clear on what you said Sorry to keep rehashing the question but would theses servos with the Encoders already on them do what I want? "CNC Machine application"
Again sorry to keep asking this, I know your thinking youve been clear but I'm really new to this so if you could take down the tech talk a bit and hit me with a stupid bat a little softer.

Buy me a Beer?

The whole problem with trying to use Fanuc motors on any other system, is that they use a proprietary means of commutating the motor, now if these were what is known as quadrature encoders, then something like the device Jon has developed would allow them to be used on other systems.
The problem with the ones you have is they use what is known as Absolute encoders.
Unless someone develops a convertor for this type, the only other way to use them on a standard drive is to replace the encoder, which requires the use of a double beam oscilloscope to set up.

Arrow Is dark spots bad? I think so.... Hoping youll prove me wrong

When I was given this Robot, they told me that some things where fried and that I might be able to salvage some parts out of it... They said the Robot was A OK the controller was the part messed up.
I started doing some digging with the Ohm meter today and tracked down some bad circuits on the one of the drivers and Amplifiers. I took it off the holding rack and took a look at it. I noticed some really dark lines in some areas, I took some picture to see what you guys might think?

To me that only looks like the traces on the reverse side of the board you can see?
If so, that is normal.
This post is getting away from the original product announcement, any further posts should be in either the Fanuc or Servo forum.

The darker black lines is what I am talking about. You can also see the Lighter Copper color lines as well. There not as dominate as the black lines. And its not every line.
