    Rapid Overides on Oi-MC

I need to be able to change the feed rates of the 25%, 50%, 100% rapid overrides on our VMC. The 0% stops movement and the 25% is way to fast for proving out programs. Any ideas?

Have you think about using "DRY RUN" instead? because you can control the speed you want

Use Single Block with Dry Run. Take it slow and Read the Distance to Go on the position screen

... or replace G00 by G01 with desired feed. After proving the program, replace G01 by G00.

There is a parameter which sets rapid to 0 when feed is at 0.
    Look it up its 1401.
You can set this so it crawls when rapid button is zero, BUT you must remember this because if you set the feed to 0, the rapid will keep crawling unless you hit feed hold.
I changed ours so rapid 0 is 0.
As others have said, dry run and watch the distance to go.

And value for mony, get NC plot (off Scott on this site). This will boost confidence/prog proving. But no replacement for distance to go...

    Hi,
If you want to control rapid feed you have to use the signals G14.0 & G14.1 (ROV1 and ROV2), in manual they given the combination of the same.
