Memory card question

Hi folks,
Quick question, is there a way to delete a program from the memory card on a Fanuc 18i ? I learned how to send an updated modified program from memory to the memory card, but first, I have to remove the card, go to my PC, delete the file, insert the card back into the Fanuc controller, then transfer the updated file from memory to the card? Thanks!

I presume that your control is a model 18iA. See section 5.8 of the maintenance manual (page 437) or a similar section in the operation manual.

Up until now, my company's maintenence dept. held the maintenence manuals. Sure enough, I read up on the memory card, did the delete steps, and it worked. I did a lot of reading, and there is a ton of great reference within the manual. My operating manuals seem to be out dated, and also seem to be missing a lot of required steps to progress through a task. (I don't have GE/Fanuc manuals, I have Awea "generic" / Fanuc manuals)

call the fanuc service department they will fax you over a procedure.. i do that all the time, its free
