Fanuc 0i Mate C - Program Stop

When I activate my Fanuc 0i MC the panel has a light above Program Stop.
It is possible to jog in any axis with the manual wheel. Unable to do anything else.

Any ideas appreciated.

Regards
Joe

M1 OPTIONAL PROGRAM STOP BUTTON ALWAYS ON????

Looks like a problem i had on a oima......

open the operator panel chek connection, cables etc...check the button....

check 24 volt supply

if no

potrebbe essere la "fanuc bus card" che porta i segnali dal pannello operatore all'armadio del cnc che si è rotta.(sorry but i'm not able to explain it in english)

Thanks AlexComo. Appreciated.
Checked all connections = good.
My manual states Program Stop light on when M00 or M01 active.
I have reviewed Fanuc Manual.....
MDI Screen in DIAGNOTICS GENERAL Shows "013 Jog Feedrate Override %: 1"

I am a real beginner.

Cheers
Joe

Make all overrides 100%.
Run G21 in the MDI mode. Does cycle start button turns green for a moment?
Then run M03 S500 in the MDI mode. The spindle should start CW rotation.
Then run G00 U10 in the MDI mode. The tool should move in X direction by 10 mm.
The optional stop switch comes in the picture only if M01 is commanded.
If all MOP settings are OK, possibly somebody has changed some setting (such as AXIS INHIBIT) on the software operator's panel.

MOP Settings........ what are they and how do I access to check them.
My Fanuc Maintenance Manual does not show how this is done.

MOP stands for Machine Operator's Panel.
The MDI panel is Fanuc-supplied, but the MOP is usually designed by the Machine Tool Builder (MTB), using some Fanuc-supplied components (such as hand wheel). All the switches for the hardware control of the machine, such as feed override, cycle start etc. are present on MOP.

Some of these settings can also be manipulated through what is called software operator's panel. The unfortunate part is that you will never know about these settings unless you go to the relevant screen. For this reason, sometimes, you may find "unexpected" machine behaviour. So, check these settings:
Press OFS/SET, press next-menu soft key, press OPR.
The software operator's panel will appear in three screens which can be scrolled by arrow keys or page up / page down keys.
The up/down arrow keys are for selection of an item, and the left/right arrow keys are for ON/OFF selection. Overrides for feed and jog in the range 0-200% is also available. Rapid override is 0-100%.
Make a proper choice. Some settings such as PROGRAM TEST require that the machine be switched OFF and again switched ON, after a change is made.
If everything is OK, execute the commands I suggested in my previous thread, and let us know what happens.

Appreciate the assistance however still not having any success.
I accessed the Software Operators panel as you described. I can see the on/off however there are no descriptions next to them.

I can send photos.

My MOP looks like a standard Fanuc item.
The bottom left corner button is: CYCLE START - This does not light up whem pressed.
Moving to the right, the next button is CYCLE START - it will turn on and off when pressed.
The next button is PROGRAM STOP - This light stays on and cannot be turned off.
The Next button is PROGRAM RESTART - it can be turned on and off and has no effect.

I press the on button the unit goes through loading to DRAM, LOADING GRAPHICS etc and then hangs when the PROGRAM STOP button lights up.

Regards

Joe

Unfortunately, the experts are not responding.
Anyway, keep everything OFF on the software operator's panel, and overrides to 100%. Switch OFF and switch ON again.
Try to execute what I suggested, in the MDI mode.
On your MOP, M/C lock, AUX lock etc. should be OFF.
I am not familiar with Fanuc MOP. Observe the keys carefully, and make appropriate choice between ON/OFF.
