Need Help!- fanuc handy file device

does anyone have infomation on the fanuc handy file device, which is displayed in the fanuc manuals

i need to where one can find the device. is it real, do you have any knowledge of using it.

If you have a laptop computer, you virtually have the same thing, it is just a upload/download device through the serial port, it has an on-board 3.5" floppy drive.
I guess one advantage is it can be left mounted on the machine if you wish and bring files to it via a floppy disk.

handy file is not really same as a pc, especially if saving fapt data be real careful if you are saving fapt data. do not attempt to save fapt data using a pc, this would be equivalent of a ps101 alarm on cnc. you will have to clear all fapt data.
