VMC build & WTB: FANUC control parts

Hi all!

I'm still on a rather limited budget, but I've decided to add yet another CNC VMC machine to my shop.. but this time it will be another custom built one built by a US machine tool builder. I would like some help making some decisions.. and I would also like to know if anyone has any spare FANUC CRT/MDI's for the "M" type CNC milling controls.

First of all I decided to chose a FANUC control again. I already have two machines running a 0M-B and a 6M-B. So knowilege of those controls would make those two preferences. But I also considered the other FANUC controls, the 10M, 11, 15M, 18M, 21M controls. I even considered the 18iM control.

I primarily use MasterCAM with the other two machines, but as I have stated before in other of my posts I also have OneCNC and a couple other programs. I also am using VeriCUT.. and I sometimes have to edit stuff with Predator DNC.

I am going to choose the AC red cap servo motors for whatever FANUC system I buy. I am planning on making this a 4 axis machine, but I will be using 3 of them most of the time.

I figured that I would chose a 12k RPM spindle CAT40 V flange custom built by SETCO. I have not chosen yet whether or not I will have coolant through spindle yet, or just use LOC LINE around the spindle for coolant delivery. I also have not chosen yet wether or not to chose a belt driven spindle or a geared spindle. What do you people think about these options?

I will also have a ATC/tool changer and a table that holds a rectangle grid plate that is 573mm x 448mm.. this is 22.5762" x 17.6512". I would like to know how much table travel X & Y is usually on VMCs/Mills of that size.

I also chose to have a Bijur lube system and a Graymills coolant pump. I normally use CIMCOOL 1070.. and Mobil Vactra #2 and Hangsterfers Labs way lube. I need to decide which Bijur and Graymills products to look at. I do not know what quantities of coolant and lubricants are normally on VMC's of this size, and how that those are usually delivered on machines of this size.

I would also like to know if anyone has any FANUC AC red cap servo motor(s).. at least three of them but will take up to four each.. working or not becuase I can have my tech repair them for me. I would really like the ones from the 6M-B or 0MB control.

I also plan on adding either OMRON or Honeywell limit switches to the machine spec to send to the MTB.

Later on I plan on adding a 6T or 0T lathe. Let me know if anyone has spare parts for those the would like to sell especially the CRT MDI unit. This will be covered in another post a later date.

So with that said, please let me know if anyone has FANUC "M" control parts, servos and CRT/MDI panels and operator interface panels with the jog and emergency stop. Let me know the price you are asking, part number, description and condition. I cannot do paypal, no checks, or ebay. Just cash if local or money orders.

I would also like to know how I could best avoid all the 400 series servo errors that are common.

Any comments, suggestions, advice... all welcome and appreciated.
