Old MAC 100 with old fanuc software

Hello, I am a newbie.

I received a hand me down Techno MAC 100 controller (ca 1990) and a Techno 18" x 18" 3 axis bed with step motors. This has worked in the past but I am having problems doing anything more than jogging. 4 kb ram test shows a failure. I would either like to repair this or see if I can get a newer controller to control the Techno 3 axis bed. Anyone have any ideas for a low cost hobby controller that might be compatible or easily modifiable?
