hi, The control is a Fanuc 10te/f on a Hitachi Seiki 25m lathe with live tooling. I had a problem with the parameters being wiped and with a bit of work i have managed to reload the parameters but now when i start the lathe i get a OT100 spindle alarm. I do not know if it is related to the parameters or a physical problem with the machine. The mother board is showing a 1 which is supposed to mean it is happy and the green led is lit on the spindle unit. |

| Most likely not. Ok the story is we had a software failure and as a result we lost all the parameters with out a backup. The only help i got from this most excellent forum was to contact the machine tool builder (Hitachi seiki has been out of business for a long time now ) . So i got a copy of a set of parameters from a guy with a 10t/f control on a different type of machine thinking that if i could just get it up and running i might be able to tweak it to do the job. So the chances are i haven't got it right. I was hoping that one of the people in the forum might be able to tell me witch parameters i should look at. |

| In machine documentation list of parameters usually looks like chequered page A4. You really need parameters exactly for this model of machine. Even if you manage your spindle, you face with great other problems in future. Try to find anyone who has the same model

On my Tsugami NU4B this bit "NAL" is 0 (Spindle velocity control unit alarm is checked) and no OT100 alarm.

There are some alarm pins in spindle connector. If your machine have connected these pins so you don't have to set NAL=1. Other machines may not connect these pins so you have to. |
