| Also, we have the same control on 2 machines. Both are Hardinge VMC's. On the VMC1000, the Z displays to the actual Z that is programmed as it is running, ex. prg to Z-.5 it reads Z-.5 on the screen. On the VMC600, the Z stays at machine Z, ex. prg Z-.5 it reads Z-13.75 on screen. Does anyone know the parameter to change so I can get both to read the same? I would like the screen to display programmed depth. I hope that is not too confusing. Thanks. I have no books. Old machines, I just got here. |

| For the first problem, it is related to machine, if you have maintenance manual of machine, try to find something about warning light. Second, if I understand you correctly, maybe that you have some WORK SHIFT other than 0, or you have to make manual reference return?

| Problems solved. Thanks folks. It was a combo of #28 and #18. That is just what I wanted. Fixed the lights too. Got tired of screwing around trying to find a parameter or switch, and just pulled the bulbs. Thanks for the help. |
